چکیده

conclusions cd5l might be a useful biomarker for early diagnosis of hcc in hcv cirrhotic patients. lrg and hp α2 isoforms could be potential markers for distinguishing viral hcc. our results also further support the presence of varying molecules involved in hepatocarcinogenesis in hbv when compared with hcv infection. patients and methods two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis combined with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry was performed on 47 sera from healthy volunteers, those with chronic active hepatitis, cirrhosis and hcc patients associated with hbv and hcv infections. results among these, 62 spots were differentially expressed (≥ 1.5 fold; p < 0.05), of which 42 spots that corresponded to 15 proteins were identified by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. cd5-like antigen (cd5l) was differentially expressed between cirrhosis and hcc patients with hcv infection. leucine-rich α2-glycoprotein (lrg) and haptoglobin (hp) α2 isoforms differed in the hcc that was associated with either hcv or hbv infections. background hepatocellular carcinoma is a highly progressive cancer in the case of late diagnosis which is frequently associated with hbv and hcv viral infections. objectives to identify differentially expressed serum proteins among three main stages of hcv infection and healthy individuals, and their comparisons with sera from patients with the same stage of hbv infection.

Differentially Expressed Proteins in Chronic Active Hepatitis, Cirrhosis, and HCC Related to HCV Infection in Comparison With HBV Infection: A proteomics study

HBV Surface Ag mutations in chronic carriers are rare in Baloochstan provinces of Iran: a community with a low rate of HBV-related cirrhosis and HCC

Background and Aims: The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between the hepatitis B virus surface Ag (HBsAg) genotypes and variations in the clinical/serological pictures among HBsAg positive chronic patients from South Khorasan province of Iran. Methods: Twenty-five patients were enrolled in this study. The HBs Ag gene was amplified and was directly sequenced. Genotypes and nuc...

Study on the relationship of demographic characteristics of rs1053004 in STAT3 Gene in pationts with HCC following chronic HBV infection

Background and Aims: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most important common cancers in the world. The main etiology of this cancer in developing and third world countries is due to the infection with hepatitis B and C viruses. Hepatitis B and C viruses (HCV) would both cause liver cancer but the incidence of the disease in relation to the age and gender has not been determined. The ...

Evaluation of miR-101 Level in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection and Liver Cirrhosis

ABSTRACT Background and Objective: MiRNAs are small RNAs that are expressed in most eukaryotes, and can regulate gene expression by attaching to the 3’ end of target mRNA. MicroRNA-101 (miR-101) post-transcriptional regulation is important for host-virus interactions. In addition, miR-101 has a tumor suppressive role in liver cancer and metastasis, an...

MicroRNAs Associated With HBV Infection And HBV-related HCC

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a global problem and a major risk factor for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). microRNAs (miRNAs) comprise a group of small noncoding RNAs regulating gene expression at the posttranslational level, thereby participating in fundamental biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. In this review, we summarize the roles of m...
